Getting Ready for Cold & Flu Season

Updated: Jun 3

The 2022 cold and flu season is in full force! GRR is here to help with preventative treatment, symptom management and healing during this dreadful time in your home.

I personally love the cooler season for many reasons…I can start growing my winter vegetables and it is time to cool off from the very warm AZ summer. Soon I will be starting my spring seedlings for my garden as well! I also take a moment to pause and reflect on the past year and determine my goals moving forward into the new year. In order to make this thought process successful, I have to be mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically healthy in this new season of life and I am sure we all strive for that in the end!

"Preparation is very important in manipulating the cold and flu season. I believe in prevention and stocking the medicine cabinet with herbal remedies, as well as, daily immune system boosting remedies."

Unfortunately, with the cooler months we have the #cold and #flu season upon us! Preparation is very important in manipulating the cold and flu season. I believe in #prevention and stocking up the medicine cabinet with #herbal remedies, as well as, daily immune system boosting remedies. Cold and flu season has definitely hit in full force already and this is a time to make quality healthcare decisions that make sense for you and your family.

Herbal Solutions & Remedies

Some important herbal #remedies to have stocked up are the amazing #teas that I’ve put together for Garden Root Remedy. The Lung Strengthening Tea has been incredibly successful when cold symptoms begin to affect you. This tea loosens up the mucus and opens up your airways that are affected by your sickness. My Stomach Relief Tea will also help with any gastrointestinal symptoms that may affect you such as nausea, vomiting, discomfort, and digestion. The Spring is in the Air Tonic is excellent to keep your immune symptom robust during these next few months and can be consumed on a regular basis as a preventative remedy.

When it comes to herbal #tinctures, they can be helpful for acute symptom management as well as proactive prevention support for your immune system. I would encourage you to utilize single tinctures first, which target direct symptom prevention and management before looking into using my blended tinctures. Some single tinctures to consider are: Angelica Root, Catnip, Yarrow, Echinacea, and Astragalus for immune support. Blended tinctures such as MultiVitamin and Just Breathe are also excellent choices for prevention and symptom management during this cold season.

I would encourage you to arm yourself with the necessary medical and herbal knowledge to help you make your own powerful healthcare decisions moving forward. You may even need to have an in depth discussion with your healthcare provider about your desires, needs, and goals for living a healthy lifestyle moving forward. I wish you the best health during this season and do not hesitate to reach out or consider a consultation for a more targeted approach.

Something to keep in mind, I also work with clients to create custom formulations for your healthcare needs. We can determine what this looks like during your initial consultation appointment with me. All products are 10% OFF when you schedule a consultation with me in the new year. I look forward to being a part of your health and healing journey.

Take Care!
